We want to share this fantastic article published at nceatalk.org that talks about how Catholic schools “direct the heart of the child toward Jesus in unity with the formation of the Christian family.” The article focuses on how a Catholic school, unlike a public school, is “a place where the Sacraments are celebrated: students know the strength of the Eucharist each week and the forgiveness of the Sacrament of Penance whenever it is needed.”

While the article was written about a school in Virginia, its tenants can be applied to any Catholic school--including Saint Benedict. We especially love this part: "Our hallways are filled with the future Saints of the Church. Pray for them. Love them. Believe in them."

No matter where life has taken you, we hope you can say that you got the best possible start thanks to your education at Saint Benedict.

Our accredited teachers continue to shape the youngest minds. But we do more than provide an education: We support students in building a strong moral foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

Countless alumni have fond memories of their time at Saint Benedict, where they started building their foundation for life. We appreciate the alumni who recently shared some of their best memories from the school, including Charlene (Marks) O'Shea '62 who wrote:

"Our first communion photo was on the steps that are long gone.  We took up entire steps, and top boys were all squished together.  Love all those boomers!"
