The parish’s annual festival will be held this weekend, Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31. The grounds open at 5 p.m. on Friday evening and at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival is made possible by the help of many loyal volunteers from our schools (Saint Benedict, Cambria Heights, and Bishop Carroll), the parish, and the community.

Please join us this weekend to support the church and enjoy some fun, family-friendly activities.

Highlights of the festival:

  • Great food and drinks, including ethnic foods, pizza, burgers, fries, hot sausage, funnel cakes, snow cones, lemonade, and ice cream
  • Wing night (Friday evening)
  • Carnival games for all ages, ranging from skill games (such as sling shot, basketball toss, and under the sea canon), to wheel games (such as shopkins and bounce wheel), and also younger kids’ games (such as gator alley and safe cracker)
  • A bounce house, climbing wall, and dunking booth
  • A cornhole tournament (starting at noon on Saturday)
  • A tractor-pull for boys and girls (starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday). Age categories are 3-4 years, 5-6 years, and 7-8 years.
  • A basket auction that offers over 100 baskets (located in Saint Benedict School). Winners will be drawn Sunday evening.
  • Yard sale (at Saint Benedict School)

Thank You to Donors & Sponsors

On Thursday, May 12, Saint Benedict School held its annual Race for Education.

Each year, students participate in the race and family members, friends, or community members sponsor them. This year, the race brought in over $9,000 to benefit Saint Benedict students. This profit allows us to enhance and expand both educational and extracurricular opportunities, which serve as a foundation for our young scholars.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of parents, faculty, and members of our community. Thank you for your continued support of Saint Benedict School and our students!

Saint Benedict to Partner with Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art

This fall, Saint Benedict School’s Home & School Association plans to implement an exciting new art initiative that will benefit the students, the school, and the local community. SBS will form a partnership with the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA) that will allow guest artists into the school to work with the students and teachers and expose them to fun and new ways of experiencing the world of art.
